Pulpit Fellowship 2026

​On Trinity Sunday, 31 May 2026, Pastor Murray Hogg of the East Camberwell Baptist church preached at Highfield Road Uniting church and Rev. Jenny Preston, a Uniting church minister, led worship there.    This was part of a Canterbury Council of Churches initiative to encourage greater collegiality between member churches.    For too long we have remained in our denominational citadels busily defending our congregational numbers as well as doctrines which were often shaped centuries ago.    This was a great opportunity to consider the things that unite us are more important than the things which divide us.    It was also a witness to the community of Canterbury in an increasingly secular age.
